I've been practicing chiropractic for 22 years. I became interested in chiropractic as a child when my mother was suffering from severe neck and arm pain. She struggled with the pain for three months and decided to see her medical doctor. She was prescribed medication to help with the pain and spasm but she didn't like the way it made her feel and she decided to try chiropractic. She visited a chiropractor here in our area and after four weeks her pain was gone. Of course, that made me have a very positive view on chiropractic. That experienced influenced me enough to become the practitioner that I am today. I am very happy that I have been able to help the thousands of people that I have without using drugs or surgery.
When I'm not in the office I enjoy spending time with my wife Laura and my family. My wife has been a tremendous support in my life and I would not be able to do what I do without her. My youngest son is in involved in karate, piano, and little league. During our summers we enjoy camping at the beach, especially Outer Banks. I also enjoy hunting, fishing, and dirtbikes(see below).

This is why my wife doesn't let me ride dirtbikes anymore. When I graduated from chiropractic college in Los Angeles in 2001, I moved to Tucson, Arizona. Well, out there there is a lot of desert and mountainous terrain. I decided that I needed to get into the dirtbiking scene since I was out there. I rode hard every weekend. It was nothing to put in a 100 mile offroad ride on a Saturday.
In 2006, my wife and I(which I met in Tucson) decided to relocate to the east coast. This was where I was originally from and where my family still resides today. There was only one little conundrum when we moved back. I already had 'dirt' and 'two stroke exhaust' in my blood and the offroad riding back over here on the east coast was nothing compared to being out west. So I came up with a solution.... I would start racing that way every other weekend I would have a place to ride! Well, this worked quite well for a while until my luck finally caught up with me in April 2013. It was round 2 of the East Coast National Hare Scramble series in Arrington, Virginia. It was my first national race. A lot of adrenaline and testosterone. I ended up at UVA later that day where I would spend the next four days. I had a four hour surgery to repair my left ankle/leg.
If that was my first injury riding, maybe my wife would still let me ride, however, prior to that I had concussions, and multiple other fractures.
So now that you know my 'past passion' here is a little about my background. I grew up in Luray, Virginia until I was eleven years old. It was 1986 when my mother and father which owned Dallas Hollar Ford in Harrisonburg decided to move to Harrisonburg to be closer to the business. I attended Keister Elementary, Thomas Harrison Middle School, and Harrisonburg High School where I graduated in 1993. From the there I went off to college at Radford University where I earned my Bachelor's in Biology with a minor in chemistry and mathematics. In 1998 I attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles California. I figured if I was going to go to college for another four years why not have a change of scenery! I graduated from CCCLA in 2001 with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Afterwards I had a postceptorship in Burbank, California at First Chiropractic which was a chain of clinics. Not long afterwards I pursued a better opportunity at First Chiropractic of Tucson, Arizona. I worked as a Doctor of Chiropractic for them until 2004. That was when I decided to go into solo practice. Two years later, I decided to move back here to Virginia along with my wife and my soon to be born son.
